This March, Kings New York students took a day trip to Washington D.C.
Walking down Constitution Avenue, they were able to visit the Botanical Gardens, the United States Capital, Supreme Court, the Lincoln Memorial, the Aerospace Museum, and even the White House, all on one day! Many of these historic monuments play a significant role in American history and the students were more than enthusiastic to experience and learn about them.
This trip gave students the opportunity to see things they might not have otherwise seen. Washington D.C. is an exciting destination known for its rich history, iconic landmarks like the White House and Capitol Building, and vibrant cultural scene highlighted in its museums, galleries, and theatres. The city’s diverse culinary offerings, beautiful architecture, green spaces and year-round events and festivals further contribute to a memorable experience!
The students were accompanied by Alron, one of our teachers here at Kings New York. He said, “With DC being the Capital of the US, the students saw the grandness and beauty of the city that represents a big part of our country.”
Overall, it was a beautiful day, and the students enjoyed their time exploring D.C!
